Fort Lauderdale Sun Trolley

We'll be in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, 2/6, staying at the Comfort Suites on Federal Highway the night before our Coral Princess cruise. We were hoping for convenient transportation down the 17th St Causeway to catch the water taxi that evening.

 

It looks like the Sun Trolley only operates from Thursday thru Sunday. Can that be true? If it is, what would be our best way to get to the water taxi? We have dinner reservations at the 15th St Fishery. Is it too far to walk, or should we take a cab?

Larry, Yes, it's true, it only operates Thursday through Sunday. It's a mile from your hotel to the Ft Lauderdale Grande (the closest water taxi stop). It's a safe walk, surrounded by shops and restuarants on your way. Flat, no hills. Pedestrian friendly. I wouldn't give it a second thought to walk it, at least one way, you can always get a taxi back to your hotel.

The Fisheries is about a mile from your hotel, for that I'd take a cab, the walk is not as scenic. ;)
