Stores near LaPorte LaQuinta?

Are there any grocery stores or Walmart, Kmart type stores in easy walking distance of the LaQuinta in LaPorte (Hwy 146 & Fairmont Parkway)?

Across the highway 146, is a shopping center with a Krogers grocery and several smaller stores and laces to eat. Across from the Krogers is another shopping center with many stores. All of these stores are within walking distance of the LaQuinta. Try Antonio's Italian restaruant it is very good, it is located in the west end of the Kroger shopping center. Several gas stations, fast food places located along the road.

There is a Walmart on Spencer Highway due west of LaPorte about 6 miles.

Last time we were there we drove so I didn't pay any attention to where the stores were. We'll just need to pick up some soft drinks, so Kroger will be fine :) .

 

We also ate at a Tex-Mex restaurant that we enjoyed very much. I think it was just a block or two from the hotel on Fairmont Pky. Are you familiar with this restaurant?

 

We'll check out Antonio's, too.

If you are referring to Las Hadas, it is a pretty good place to eat. They have another restaurant down the road in Deer Park.
