Dumb Weather Question

We're trying to minimize the amount of clothes we end up taking for our upcoming cruise. How much do we need to account for "cool" weather while on the cruise (I am assuming the weather on the islands will be pretty consistent...i.e. 80 degrees) pretty much everyday. Does it get chilly on deck (or on the balcony) in the evenings? Thanks.

It would help if you told us what month you are sailing, and out of what port............??????? Are you going to the Caribbean or South Pacific or Alaska or what? Are you asking about temperature on the ship? Inside areas? What ship are you on.........

I assume you are refering to your cruise in Jewel of the Seas this month.

It could be a bit cool in Miami. I would not expect for you to have any cooler

temps than about 60 degrees. You may wish to take a light weight jacket

if you like to stroll on the decks while the ship is underway early morning or

after sunset. Enjoy your cruise! You may want to leave the light on for isujum

as they will be on the same ship the following month.

I guess I did leave a lot of important information out didn't I <sheepish grin>. Yes, I'm talking about the Jewel out of FLL next week. It is an eastern carribean itinerary. I was mainly thinking about the outside temperatures on the deck, but now that you mention it, am also wondering about ac in the room or other inside areas. Are short sleeves generally comfortable or do they keep it so cold you might wish you had brought your parka <smile>.

 

Is it generally comfortable to lounge on the deck or is it too windy when you're underway? Thanks.

When you get back you can report on your cruise........we are taking the same ship in March:)

 

You might take a light jacket..........I don't think you'll need it........but you never know........this has been a strange winter for most of the country.........you just never know.........I think once at sea......you'll be fine.......

 

I find it usually too windy to be on deck once the ship is underway.........enjoy your cruise..........

Light layers. You can always peel off, but if you have heavy clothes you may be hot.

 

I read all the time how the dining room is cold and I've never been cold in there.

The forecast for Lauderdale next Friday and Saturday shows it to be in the mid 70s with maybe a few showers(forecast may still change). I will have a light sweater to throw over my shoulders at night. Sometimes the dining room and theater can get chilly as well.
