Indyjaybird Posted February 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2007 We are looking at booking a suite on the Crown Princess in October and were wondering what perks there are (early boarding, tender passes, concierge service, etc.) in comparison to what NCL offers since that is really the only thing we have to really compare it to! Also, do the perks increase with the level of suites on Princess? Thanks for your help!

DrivesLikeMario Posted February 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2007 We had both the Owners' Suite (Pink Diamond Suite) and the adjoining Penthouse Suite on NCLA's Pride of Hawaii last August. We've had Princess' Grand Suite (their top level), the Vista Suite and mini-suites in the past. The only thing that Princess had over NCL was the internet access, which has recently been limited (as of April 1st). We have never been offered many of the perks that Princess has, like the pillow menu or the private portrait sitting. Many of the things on the list are a bit ridiculous - like the luggage protector on the bed. That's an ammenity? For whom? NCL had many more nice touches with the butler, concierge, 3' flower arrangement in the cabin, free bottled water, free soft drink cans, 3 free LARGE bottles of your choice of alcohol & the cappuchino makers in both the Penthouse & Owners' Suites. The beds in the suites in NCL were huge and incredibly comfortable!! We have a Cal. King at home, but these beds were wider and much more comfortable than even HAL's suite beds. The bed in the Grand Suite on Princess was a big disappointment after experiencing suite beds on HAL, Carnival, RCI and NCL. The marble touches in the Princess suites are prettier though and the color choices are more subtle. Have fun! You can't go wrong with a suite on either line! :)
Indyjaybird Posted February 5, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted February 5, 2007 Thanks so much for the perfect response. It is great to find out what you think since you've 'done' both. We love the NCL perks (and we LOVED that Owner's Suite!) but it is nice to know that we can book a smaller room and save money on other lines if we like their itenerary.
