Susiebell2 Posted February 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2007 I have never cruised ---EVER! I have been reading all of the boards, faithfully, and learning so much! Thanks! I read that there is an Oriental Bar on the Lido Deck + my mother said it also had a Mexican Bar. Is there a Sushi bar? Can you get sushi on the Volendam, anywhere? What types of food are available on the Lido deck for lunch or dinner? Also, if I eat early in the dining room and then decide to get some sushi or fried rice later...is it possible to do both? Thanks, Susan
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2007 On our Oct/Nov Volendam cruises sushi was offered only once. Fried rice was av ailable a couple of times. Yes you can eat in the dining room and then go to the Lido or something else. But keep in mind the Lido usually closes either at 2 or 2:30 depending on the port schedule. RJBC Posted February 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Hi, We've spent a lot of time on the Volendam and no, there isn't a Sushi Bar. They seem to be popular on other ships. The hamburgers, hotdogs and chip and dip bar by the pool is fine for snacks and late afternoon meals. You will have a great time on the ship and enjoy the food.
