Parking at Port of Miami - Cash or Charge?

Is it true that parking at the Port of Miami for NCL (Jewel specifically) is in lot #10 and that they only accept cash (15/day +$105)? Need to make sure that we save this $ (and have it available) and don't spend it all in ports.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Do you trust their web page?

http://www.miamidade.gov/portofmiami/directions.asp

parking info is there.... Customers sailing out of Terminals F, G and J can use either cash or credit (Visa or MasterCard only). The parking facility in front of Terminal B, C and 10 is currently cash only.

Yes it's true, $105 in CASH., Don't worry about spending it in the ports, you have to pay for your parking upfront. ;)

Bequia,

What is your input on CBM parking? I know they have better rates than the cruise terminal parking, and offer shuttle services..

But, what about security of the vehicle, and the requirement of a copy of my driver's license.

Any good or bad comments?

Thanks, Ricky

Ricky, posters on these boards swear by them. Me personally, no way am I giving my drivers license for anyone to copy or my car keys for a week. There's no telling if any car parts have been swapped out while I'm away.

When I'm on vacation I want peace of mind. If I drive to the port, I park at the port. I know my car will be safe and sound in a secure environment. Patroled 24/7 by real law enforcement personnel versus minimum wage security guards. Sure, I'll pay a little more but at least I'm not dealing with waiting for shuttles to take me to or pick me up at the port. I'm paying for that peace of mind. That's just my humble opinion. ;)
