anniebj90290 Posted February 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2007 We are hoping to go on RCCL's Legend of the Seas in July on one of the cruises that stops in Alexandria. When we checked, there were no accommodations remaining available for our family of 4. My kids are 6 and 9 -- obviously too young to have their own cabin and we'd rather not split up and get two cabins. We are waitlisted for a balcony cabin for 4. I was just wondering how likely it was that we'll get it. Your opinions welcomed. And while I don't want to jump the gun, input is also appreciated on independent travel vs. group tours (and group tours booked through the cruise line vs. those booked privately) in the ports of Alexandria (we want to see the pyamids); Limassol, Cypress and Ephesus, Turkey. My kids are good travelers but will prefer not being the only children on a tour of seniors. And dare I ask: How hot will this be?? Thanks, Annie
sailor moon Posted February 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2007 We had this problem on our upcoming cruise. We ended up booking 2 cabins so that we would be assured a place on the ship. A 4 person cabin opened up prior to final payment and we then added to our cabin and dropped the other one. Make sense?
Enchantment 04 Posted February 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Why not book two connecting cabins and keep the connecting door open the whole time?
CAT GIRL Posted February 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2007 I just wanted to say that I hope you get to go. The suggestion made by sailor moon sounds good. You'll want to get your airfare lined up too so if you book the two rooms you'll be assured you're going one way or another. Sometimes cabins open up after final payment is due. I'll be going on this itinerary in Sept.
