Civitavecchia Disembarkation Questions

  1. Once docked how long does it actually take to get off the ship?
  2. Is there then a long wait to claim your luggage and go through customs?
  3. Are there a sufficient number of taxis available?
  4. Has anyone gone from the dock to the main train station in Rome? How long does that take? Cost?
  5. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. :D

Hi -

We actually have a post-stay in Rome after our March 23rd cruise on Concordia. This gives us transportation/etc.

Have you called Costa directly and asked them? Perhaps they give priority to those with their disembarkation shuttle service... i think it is $30USD pp as that is what we paid to get to the ship. Given that the fee for a taxi is $100USD, it seems like a no brainer.
