car seat needed for 2 yr old?

i didn't even think i'd need a car seat but why i have no idea?!?! we're flying out early sunday morning (day of embarkment). we will stay one night in new orleans on our return but planned on taking a cab to our hotel then walking/shuttle/cab from there.

You might check the child restraint laws online. I don't know about Louisiana, but I know that Florida taxis won't carry ANY young child without a proper restraint due to state laws. The Tote N Go backboard is a nice, inexpensive travel option if you can find one in your town.
