I was wondering what others have sailed her found delicious and would recommend to a good "friend". CaptainEdwardJohnSmith Posted February 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2007 And, lest I forget, Rack Of Lamb, absolutely delicious! (if they still serve it, that is, from what I understand Rack Of Lamb is pretty much hit or miss on Carnival, lately, but I could be wrong)
darladelight Posted February 10, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted February 10, 2007 I have had Lamb before and yes it is delicious. I will be putting that and Escargot on my list. BTW. How is the escargot prepared?
CaptainEdwardJohnSmith Posted February 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Now I am a Commodore and not a chef, but having said that: You usually get 5 or 6 of them, usually cooked in garlic/pesto and olive oil. Be prepared to dip and eat plenty of bread with it, as I said, it is to die for! I love escargots, I remember in my younger years my wife and her Dad used to cook them all the time, they bring back plenty and plenty of nice memories, for us that is, not quite so for the poor snails! lol :)
chitown cruisers Posted February 10, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2007 I'm a picky eater but when I get on the ship I try at least 1 new thing with every meal (I order a classic stand by for backup). Someone the other day mentioned that their table orders a couple extra as a type of "family platter" for the table to share....this way everyone can try new things. CruzVinnieCruz Posted February 10, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 10, 2007 I never had Escargot until we started cruising, way to expensive to order locally and not be able to eat them. I order them on every cruise and yes they are delicious.
KelliKevin Posted February 11, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2007 I like the cinnamon pastries in the morning the pumpkin soup was good yes, to the snails, melting cake, etc. etc
BooBooMonkey Posted February 11, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2007 Chocolate Melting Cake! Yummy! Had this almost every night. If you don't like the night's selections, you can always try the steak and potatoes offered every night. It is always good. Have fun on your cruise! cruzinrealtor Posted February 11, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2007 chataebrean (?), was melt in your mouth, so was the beef wellington. There was a roasted soup -pumpkin or squash I can remember, everyone here recommended it and it was delicious, hubby even liked all these and he is picky. Basically, if it sound good and you want to try it, go for it, thats what crusing is all about!
