Millenium Alaskan Hotel - Anyone ever stay here?

Any thoughts on this hotel- we dont need anything extravagent but want to make sure its nice, clean and in a safe area. Thanks! Any insight would be greatly appreciated

My favorite hotel in Anchorage. Stay there almost every year, at least one night. I LOVE the lobby. Probably NOT the tops in service, but the views are to die for and it is in a good location-not far from the airport, shuttle to downtown.

 

Ask for a room facing the water-Lake Hood. Largest float plane airport in the world. Sitting out on the deck watching the planes is a great way to kill a few hours.

 

I have always found I get the best rate calling the Millenium hotel reservations 800 number. But check around thoroughly. The rates in summer vary from about $150-$330 for the same room. Enjoy!!!!

It was a pretty nice hotel. We ended up there instead of camping because of a couple days of solid rain, so we appreciated the large room to spread our stuff out in. Definitely more than you usually get for 49 bucks, especially in Alaska!

I stayed there last summer, also on a deal from priceline. The hotel is nice, but the matresses were extremely soft and I ended up with a major backache.
