CGAGE Posted February 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2007 We cruised on the Caribbean Princess last week on the Eastern route and were joined by Mr. Arison in St. Maarten on Thursday. We ended up meeting him and having a brief conversation at the return guest party. He seemed to go un-noticed by most people...we saw him throughout the rest of the cruise in some of the lounges...and also on the bridge! We could see it from our balcony. After talking to some of the Senior Staff...none of them had experienced having him on a ship and all were excited...and somewhat nervous...to have him onboard. It was pretty cool!!! Just thought I would share! Ciao!

CGAGE Posted February 12, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted February 12, 2007 if he got an upgrade? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micky_Arison Go cats We wondered what kind of cabin he was staying in! Apparently he was sailing on his yacht before coming on-board in St. Maarten!

Just thought I would share! Ciao! Personally he would go unnoticed by me because I have no idea what he looks like!!! Years ago I was fortunate enough to cruise with Bob Dickerson. Had a private party with him and several other passengers in the library and sat next to him at dinner. Like Mr. Arison, Mr Dickerson walked around the ship mostly unnoticed and he was loving it!!! I also got a kick out of watching him watching everyone and noone knew who he was.... And again, the crew was on their best behavior. I always thought dinner was great but when eating at the same table as Mr. Dickerson, well, whats better than great!!! At one point, a worker in the Casino went over to a co-worker to say Mr Dickerson was about to do spotchecks of the cabins... That co-worker ran out of the Casino!!! All did end good I later found out... He is a wonderful man, with a great personality but then again, why wouldn't he be??? Rich, happy and loves his job!!! Oh, to be him :)
travel girl23 Posted February 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2007 OMG, we were docked right next to you. We were on the Glory. I got some great pics of your ship. How cool to meet him. I would have loved to have met him after reading all about Carnival in the book, Devils on the Deep Blue Sea. Hope you had a great cruise. We did. :D TG23
