Anybody Snorkel with King David at Stone Island?

We are planning on doing the Stone Island Tour with King David in Mazatlan. The tour allows you to pick two activities from a list of about 5 choices. We are doing the horseback riding as one of the options. For the snorkeling option, they take you out in a small boat to one of the small islands (rock?) near Stone Island for about an hour. Has anybody else chosen this snorkeling option? And if so could you please relate your snorkeling experience. I am trying to find out if this is worthwhile or choose another option.

We've done the King David tour twice. The first time the conditions were not good for snorkeling so it wasn't offered. We did the banana boat instead - it was a blast.

The second time we rented ATV's for a fantastic drive up the beach.

Hugo the guide is great and you'll have a great time as long as you remember that Stone Island is not a resort area, it's very rustic.

I would follow Hugo's advice as to wether its a decent day to snorkel or not.
