Does anyone know if the "Empress of the Seas" has pay per view movies. Also, how often does RCCL update the films shown onboard?

 

I am sailing on the April 20 repositioning cruise.

i know they show new movies, about 2 per night. I remember seeing some pretty good new movies while on her. PPV i'm 95% sure was not available. Empress is older, we cruised on her twice, and tv's are... well, the old tube type and small, maybe 13".

I am on the April 20 repositioning 8 day sailing from San Juan to Norfolk. We have an overnight call in Bermuda. I have sailed twice on Nordic Empress but the most recent was in 1998. The photos of the refit look great.

 

I am a little concerned about how the ship will handle the open North Atlantic from Bermuda to Norfolk. I have taken many cruises and am really looking forward to this ship and sailing.

we traveled in may, and while seas are rough, the ship does very well in them. I was on the ship before and after refit, and it's been nicely updated - you'll definitely enjoy the cruise.
