Makena Beach State Park – MakenaBig Beach at Makena is one of Maui's signature beaches with a seemingly endless expanse of white sand. Picnic facilities and restrooms are available. The adjacent Little Beach is an informal (and nominally illegal) clothing optional beach with excellent body surfing.

Just went to Big Beach last week......it was great. We swam with the turtles all day. They were between the first and second reef. My husband and I had a ball..........

Extra added bonus........if you climb the lava rock on right side of Big Beach is Little Beach......its a little climb.........but thats the Nudist beach.....

Also, get there early. Parking is limited and it fills up fast....

We rented from Thrifty on all islands........excellent service. Do it online and join Blue Chip, its free. They have cars waiting for you. You show them license, sign and go......They give you maps and info for every island.......
