Orcrone Posted July 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2004 I'm looking at travel insurance. We're going to be cruising from March 26 through April 2 of next year. We'll be flying in a day ahead of time and flying out the day after the cruise. Do I want to insure my trip from March 26 through April 2 (cruise time only) or from March 25 through April 3 to cover the days of airline travel? Thanks, Marc
CruisinNana Posted July 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2004 My travel agent advises me to cover it all. Dee
iluvcruzin Posted July 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2004 Include the airline days. It shouldn't make a difference in price. If you haven't bought airline tickets you can guess on the cost or some allow you to add coverage later.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2004 :) We include everything. The hotel at our airport the night before we fly out, the airlines, hotels at embarkation ports and hotels at disembarkation ports are all covered by insurance and of course the cruise. :)
Orcrone Posted July 29, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted July 29, 2004 Thanks everyone. Was playing on insuremytrip.com. Turned out to get identical quotes, regardless of 7 or 9 days.
jhannah Posted July 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 29, 2004 Absolutely cover yourself going and coming. Should something happen to delay you enroute, any losses sustained would not be covered since it was outside the dates of your coverage. Lots of folks don't purchase insurance. That's fine for them. But for me, it's a small price to pay for peace of mind if something unforseen should happen along the way.
