Don't live in SEA and haven't been there, but there is a local jazz radio station here in inland Washington state that always mentions who's playing at that venue in SEA, so I asume it's a good place for jazz...

Jazz Alley is an awesome club right in the downtown area. It's very intimate.......not a bad seat in the house with great accoustics. We live in Tacoma, about 30 minutes from Seattle and love nites out at Jazz Alley. We don't usually do the dinner show because it's distracting to me to eat with dimmed lights and I like to watch the performers. Appetizers and drinks work best. There are great places in the downtown area to eat......many within walking distance.

The Jazz Alley is a great place to see performances. We went last year to see BBVD and had a great time. We had the dinner and show package and loved the food. As gthe previous poster said there is not a bad seat in the house. If you like Jazz this is the place to see some great performers. If a top musician is playing you may want to call ahead to get your reservations.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

The first night in Seatle is all taken care of!!!! Jazz Alley here we come!

Really fun place! They have 2 seatings so call and get a reservation, we like the balcony, although further away, but not by much, you don't have to avoid the head of the person in front of you.

We will be staying at the Marriott Waterfront, is that near the Triple door? Also just checked the Triple door website and no one is playing on May 4th (night before we cruise) Would this be open mic night or will they have someone there that night? Is this Jazz?

Thanks

Lili
