Taxi for group of 6 - Prebook or wait?

We'll be in Cozumel and I was curious if I should prebook with a company for a group of 6 of us for an island tour type day, or wait until I get there. Has anyone else had a small group and had success booking there at a good price for the day? If so, how much?

 

I'll be paying for all 6 and sometimes the pricing is looking like another cruise I could take for a week! Any recommendations for private drivers?
