Embarbment day on Mexico cruise

I am going to the Mexican Reviera on the Norwegian Star in mid April and have a few questions. Has anyone cruised during this time of the year and know how the weather is while at sea? Also my flight gets in at 9 am and I can't begin boarding until 1 pm does anyone have any ideas on what to do for the 4 hours of waiting time and still be sure I get to the ship.
