TanyaAri Posted February 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2007 I am stopping at Costco or BJ's, and buying a case of water to take on the ship with me. From my understanding, just slap a luggage tag on the case, and it should make it to your room.
Entley Posted February 20, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2007 What other water is available? Can you get a glass of water from the bar or is it just in the resturants? Does the water on the ship taste funny or chlorinated?
Surfgirl Posted February 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2007 I always pack bottles of water in my suitcases. If you are going to an island, you'll be glad you did. Bottled water there can be very expensive.

Don Haynes Posted February 20, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2007 The tap water on cruise ships go through a reverses osmossis process, and tastes as good as distilled water. I have heard from many the water is as good as most have ever drunk. Why bother packing bottled water when you can fill empty bottles for free to lug around on shore excursions? Water is available in your cabin, restaurants, and in the buffet. Why bother a bartender?

I'm sure the ship's water is perfectly safe to drink.
Don Haynes Posted February 20, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2007 If someone uses the ship's ice with their bottled water, wouldn't that ruin the bottled water? Its my opinion the plastic bottle tastes funny in soda and water. At least the tap water aboard is used with a clean tasting glass. As for pipes, spring water runs through a pipe at the bottling plant too.

Simple, if we are ordering drinks and someone wants water we're gonna order it just like we would at any other bar. I doubt the bartender will be bothered, it's no different then pouring a soda out of the gun. I think the bartender will appreciate the smile and thank you plus tip far more, then gripe someone ordered water. I do agree with you it's somewhat silly to lug bottled water on board if the ships water tastes fine. I know for my family the reverse osmossis process will provide perfectly drinkable water.
