beckmeister Posted February 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Ok, here's the deal. We want to take an excursion that starts at 8:45am but our ship does not arrive at port until 8:00am. What happens if we are late? Do we get left behind and have to pay for something we didn't get to do? How does this stuff work? Thanks, Beckmeister
pms4104 Posted February 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Likely depends on whether you are booking the excursion thru the cruise line or independently. If thru the cruise line, they'll likely make a time adjustment or refund your monies. I cannot speak to what happens if you're booking on your own with a local operator ... no experience there. Sheffie Posted February 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Beckmeister, we need more info. What port are you speaking about? Most times the ship is in earlier than it shows on your itinerary. As camp637 said, if it is a ship's excursion, they won't start it till the ship comes in. You will NOT miss this one. If it is a local operator, it all depends on what their policy is. The operator should be able to tell you what time your ship usually docks. Ask them what their policy is if your ship docks late.
beckmeister Posted February 24, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Sheffie, We will be docking in Juneau at 8:00am. We plan to book through the cruise line. It's really the only excursion that we are most interested in. It's the land and sea photo safari. We are really into photography and don't want to miss it because the ship is late. isujim Posted February 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Since it is a ships tour if you dock late and miss the tour you will be given a full refund.........I wouldn't worry to much about it.......while you could be late.......ships tours are given priority to leave the ship.......
