Princess transfer from Galveston to IAH was terrible

Warning Warning Warning:

Do not go on the official transfer from the dock in Galveston to Houston's Intercontinental Airport unless you have alot of patience!

 

We got off the boat about 8:30 AM and were directed to a bus that was sitting waiting for us. I asked the driver if she expected the bus to leave soon, because we had an early flight that left about noon. She said no, we would wait until the bus was filled.

 

That is exactly what we did, we waited, and waited and waited. Some people sat in the large bus for almost 90 minutes while they waited for every seat to fill up. People kept telling the bus driver that people were tired of waiting so long in the bus and had early flights. She told me that policy required them to fill the LARGE bus before they could leave Galveston.

 

Finally, we left but then we found that people would be dropped off at Houston Hobby Airport which would delay our arrival at Intercontinental Airport (30 miles north) by another half hour. Many people who did not know where they were got off the bus at Hobby- thinking they were at Intercontinental and then had to re-board when they found out the bus was going to both Airports.

 

Finally, we arrived at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. About 3 1/2 hours after we loaded the bus, just in time to miss our flights.

 

For your own good find another way to get to IAH.

what time was your flight scheduled for out of IAH ?

 

I also purchased the princess transfer and since my fight is at 1 pm out of IAH, I am begining to get concerned
