A question for Canadians

Did you book with a travel agent in Canada, an online discount agent or the cruise operator directly? Did any Canadians consider The Elegant Lady operated by a company from Canada? Thank you.

For our September 2007 river cruise from Prague to Bucharest, we researched all of the companies on-line, then booked the Avalon Artistry with our regular travel agent. We did not consider the Elegant Lady

For our 1st river cruise we checked out all the cruiselines mentioned on this board on the internet and we also picked up brochures from our regular travel agent at CAA. We booked it with her.

 

We chose Amadeus Waterways ...we flew to Paris for 3 nights and then boarded the Symphony for a wonderful 7 night cruise from Trier Germany to Nuremburg. We finished off our vacation with a 2 night stay in Prague.

 

It was an amazing trip !

We researched online and then chose Amadeus Amalegro's Ultimate River Cruise leaving Budapest on June 24th, 2007. We then contacted our travel agent who booked for us through tour operator Exclusive Vacations.

We researched the information on the net and then phoned Viking River Cruises and booked a China trip from them for end of August.

 

Personally,I prefer to do it that way and be more in control of things. But, that isn't everyone's choice. Some folks may not have the time to do that nor be comfortable in doing so. This will be our first river cruise but we have done many, many ocean cruises with NCL and I've always researched online and then booked by telephone.

 

Whatever you chose to do enjoy your cruise.
