Do you need insect repellant for Chacchoben Mayan ruins tour?

Howard

I would definitely bring a lot. Last time I was in Tulum, the mosquitoes were so huge, I thought a plane had landed on me....several planes. I was slathered in insect repellant oil...they drowned as they bit me. Oh, usually the mosquitoes are less abundant near the shoreline...we were right on the coast. Inland, the bugs are worse, so definitely bring the bug repellant.

I did the Chaccchoben tour with David and Ivan last year, did not bring any repellant, and went back to the ship with about 6 nasty bites.

They did not sell repellant on the Grand last April, and it was not on the Diamond last week. Make sure you board with some.

Some really good stuff is Skin So Soft by Avon. It is not repellant, but it's something similar to what the U.S. Military uses. Smells nice too. Do a google search of: skin so soft mosquito
