ltjr Posted March 1, 2007 #26 Share Posted March 1, 2007 I just got back from the Noordam and the 6 of us traveling together loved Pinnacle. 5 of us thought our steaks were outstanding and the other peson ordered lamb and loved it. The steaks were far better than those in the Vista dining room. We only chose to go once because as good as it was, we did not think it was worth a $30 surcharge. If it were still $20, we would have been there one more time. The food in the Vista was great though. I would suggest giving Pinnacle a try. ...and if anything is too salty or not to your liking, definitely let them know. I'm confident they would do their best to rectify the situation. We observed that the Pinnacle was never full and the night we were there, 3 tables were filled with spa staff, other staff, and officers. If you have ever been in one of the specialty restaurants on Celebrity, it is a completely different experience by design. It is less formal, different cuisine, and not as lengthy. gourmetgirls Posted March 1, 2007 #27 Share Posted March 1, 2007 We enjoyed eating at the Pinnacle Grill for three of the nights that we were on the Veendam in Alaska (7/2005). In the main dining room we had a table of 6 adults beside a table of 7 children. Even tho the kids were with us and well behaved, the adults enjoyed getting away to the Pinnacle Grill for a more intimate dining experience. My only complaint was that the menu did not change during the cruise. I would have liked a little more variety. That said, the ambiance, service, food and presentation were well worth the surcharge. We plan on eating in the Pinnacle Grill for several nights during our upcoming Mediterranean cruise in July aboard the Westerdam.
gourmetgirls Posted March 1, 2007 #28 Share Posted March 1, 2007 You might also want to try the Pinnacle Grill for lunch one day. My husband and I, along with our 13yo daughter, ate there one day during our cruise and I think it was $10.00pp. The menu was nice and we enjoyed the quiet time together. sail7seas Posted March 1, 2007 #29 Share Posted March 1, 2007 Great suggestion. Of all our cruises and many dinners in Pinnacle, we never went for lunch until our recent Noordam cruise. It was lovely. Very, very nice to lunch at Pinnacle on a sea day. We will try to include that on future cruises.
mamaofami Posted March 1, 2007 #30 Share Posted March 1, 2007 What type of food is served for lunch? I assume it isn't the same menu.
jtl513 Posted March 1, 2007 #31 Share Posted March 1, 2007 You might also want to try the Pinnacle Grill for lunch one day. My husband and I, along with our 13yo daughter, ate there one day during our cruise and I think it was $10.00pp. The menu was nice and we enjoyed the quiet time together. Now that dinner is $30, lunch is $15. What type of food is served for lunch? I assume it isn't the same menu. We looked at the lunch menu in Dec. just out of curiosity. The only thing I distinctly remember was a hamburger! I think there was a crab cake sandwich.
sail7seas Posted March 1, 2007 #32 Share Posted March 1, 2007 The Pinnacle Lunch menu has been posted recently on this Board. I'll do a search to try to find it.
