Bus transportation

Does anyone have experience with taking the bus to the Wildlife Reserve?

Unless you’re spending a week on the island, I would try and discourage you from taking the bus to the Wildlife Reserve.

The bus leaves from the Princess Alice terminal which a good hike from the pier. The busses for this route (1A1) start leaving M-F late morning or early afternoon and run about every 90 minutes.

So, even if you caught the noon bus, it would be 1:30 before you reached the Reserve. Return at 4 would get you back at 5:30 then a healthy walk back to the ship. Certainly doable if you have the time.

One could always bus to the Reserve and cab back (maybe $20 total for 2-4 passengers). There are generally cabs there.
