I hadn't been on a boat of any kind for over a year. A new record for me. Fortunately I was able to go for a day cruise on a Coast Guard cutter a couple of months ago and get some salt back into my blood.

It will be just under 5 years when we go on our 2nd cruise this summer. The first was for our honeymoon, and this is for our 5-year anniversary. The good news is that in the last (almost) 5 years, we have built up our finances to the point that from now on, we should be able to sail every year! No kids yet, but when they come into the picture, I'm sure that will put a delay on cruising for a while...
