Taking cash for private tours, cabs, purchases, etc. for my 11 day cruise, however if I need more, can I find an ATM or obtain more through my CC from the purser?:confused: :confused: :confused:

The MSC ships have an onboard bank. The bank charges a 3% fee for cashing travlers, or personal checks, as well as cash advances. You also need to remember that MSC is billed out of Naples Italy so an international CC fee may be applied by your CC. No cash is handled by the purser's office.

The bank has set, limited hours and was closed on the last full day of our 11 day cruise so watch your daily for times and don't wait until the last day to get money for any cash tips or traveling home money!

But are you saying we can or cannot change a large bill for smaller ones?

We have never had a problem using our debit card at any port to replentish the cash. Check with your bank as often the foreign banks have a limit as to the number of digits you can have in your PIN#. We had to reduce ours to a four digit number when we went overseas. All the best.

You can always go to the casino and buy chips and cash them in later.
