Hello all.

Well its a sea day. We left St. Maarten about 6:15pm. Unfortunatly we slept right through it.

St. Maarten ( both sides ) was very nice. We took the butterfly farm tour. If you are into things like this, I say take this tour. Not expensive at all.

It was the first time i ever had 2 insects have sex on my finger. It was a little strange :D .

Someone asked if there was Smirnoff Ice on the ship......Yes there is.

Once you get into port at St. Martin/Maarten ( which ever speling you want ) You will most likley dock at the Dr. A.C. Whatley ( spelling ) pier. If you do not take a tour, and you want to get to Phillipsburg. I would suggest taking the water taxi. It is only $5 usd to use it all day. The trip is only maybe 5 min long and it has a nice breeze to boot. Besides you dont have to hear those darn car horns.

We have procured another 24k GOLD plastic SHIP ON A STICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sports trivia again.

Oh, if you love chocolate, and I'm sure most of you do. There is a very good chocolate shop in port. When you get off the water taxi. Walk to the old court house ( just go straight ). When you get there turn right, go to OLD Street. Make a left it will be on your left. They do gove free samples, you have to have a coupon, but it is in a book that a man will be handing out as you walk to the end of the pier when you get off your ship.

This place has got to be good, we saw WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Jimmy there, that man is funny as hell. There were also a couple of lady crew members from one of the Princess ships. Wee Jimmy said he wanted to die there under the dripping white chocolate, with his mouth wide open. He said he would die a happy man.

If you are into body parts made from chocolate, they do that there. They had that special part of a man's body on the shelf in back.

The name is The Belgian Chocolate Chocolate Box. It is a bit pricey though. They have a small box 9 pieces for $12, a medium box 16 pieces $16, and a large box for $21 dont remember how many in that one. They do free shipping to your ship as well.

Traffic here is a bit bad. They only have 2 traffic lights on the entire island, and only 1 of those work. There are alot of roundabouts.

If you are not into local cusine, there are us based fast food joints, wendys, taco bell, KFC, burger king, and there was a McD's somewhere.

If you guys have any more questions, ask away. I will get the number for the hotel for you now, will post again in a few min.

The number for the hotel is 321-784-8500.

I forgot, someone asked about the atlantis. We didnt do a tour there. We went to the casino. From what I understand it isnt too much for the tour. You can book it on your ship or just have a taxi bring you there. Plenty of taxi's at the port.

See ya tomorrow.

Finally we are home.

Sorry I didnt post on friday, we ran out of min. on our plan.

The cruise was an absolute dream. I will never book anything but a balcony from now on. The cabin was wonderful.

We met a great couple who were changed to our table ( 145 golden room lower level ) Bryan and Andria, from Cincy.

I want to single out a couple of crew that made this vacation the best we have ever had. Amanda, she is one of the asst. CD's. She remembered my g/f and me from our last cruise on the Glory back in October. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Jimmy is the best. I will sail on any ship he is on, no matter where its at.

If you have any questions I will try and answer them as fast as I can.

See ya

Tim

Hi everyone,

This is Pam. I totally enjoyed myself on this cruise. This was my fourth cruise and I am loving it more and more. Glory is a great ship that I would do the eastern again. The weather and the mountains where beatiful even with the little rain on St. Marten day. I will definetley say do the Emerald Room and have the citrus cheesecake desert, veal or surf/turf main course, the cesar salad, and the crab cake appetizer. When at St. Thomas go to a place called AH RIISE (?) in downtown great assortment of items. Found a small bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label for $40. Wee Jimmy was awesome (I used most of my comment card space on him) will be writting to carnival of his exceeding my expecations. Remember cruisers to fill those comment cards out, not only do you get a chance to win a cruise but the crew members that you acknowledge might earn raises or other perks. Also they use them to see what needs improvements, some new activities ideas, or even a new name for a new cruise. How about a Carnival Believe ship? Well going to carnival site to see about booking another cruise for next year. Top of the evening to you as Wee Jimmy always says.:D Night

Glad to hear that you had such a great time. I will be traveling with a group of 7 on the Glory next month. And I can't wait. I hope that WEEEEEE Jimmy is still on there. I keep hearing such great things about him.

For the person asking about Atlantis Tours....we were there last September. We just took a cab from the Pier to the Atlantis with the intention of just walking around and doing some self exploring. But we ended up purchasing the Atlantis Aquarium tour. It was fantastic. Lasted about an hour and our tour guide was really great. He was funny, informative and kept up a good pace with out us feeling rushed. We toured the underground parts of the aquarium as well as the outside portions around the property. He also took us thru the casinos and talked about the hand-blown glass sculptures that were amazing. It was really great. Then we just had a nice lunch and headed back to the ship. Well worth it.

Also if you are in port for a long day....you can get a room for a day rate. it's like $200 (but if you have 4-5 people it's not that bad per person) and it gives you access to their pools, waterslides (one of which goes thru the aquariums) and beaches.

Wee Jimmy will be on the Glory until June 23rd when he is taking vacation back to Scotland for a couple of months. He meet some guest who live in the same area as his mother so he gave them her phone # and said that when he gets back to Scotland he will have lunch or something with them. Then around August/October he will be back on the Glory. He is the greatest. Hopefully I can be on the ship with him again next year. If they have a carnival legends show (guest perform with the dancers) go to it, this show was a blast. Well that is it for now have a great night.;)
