Aieda cruise line

Recommended Posts

The Aida cruise ships number 4, and are a German line owned by P & O, which is in turn owned by Princess*I think. They have an Eye painted on their bows, and lips and other colorful hull decoration, somewhat like Norwegian. While on the Serenade to the southern caribbean recently the Aidavita was with us several times in Caribbean ports. It sounded like announcements were in German. They hava a topless deck topside,or so I am told. Their website address was also printed in big letters on the side of the ship. Their website itself is in German. That's all I know about Aida ships. Yes, AIDA is a German cruise company recently bought by the Carnival Imperium.

The concept is called "club-ship". You are supposed to think in the direction of Club Mediterranee but it is on a lower level. There are no formal nights, included food is buffet only, restaurant with service do cost extra. Originally the idea was to attract mainly young people with a party atmosphere.
