Tampa hotels, car rentals, transportation

Can anyone in the Tampa area help me out?

 

We're flying into TPA 2 days before our cruise and therefore will be renting a car. We're thinking of staying at the Homewood Suites on Palm River (we are 4 adults and 2 children). Are there any car rental companies near the departure port so we can easily drop the car off after dropping all of the guests and luggage off? Any other suggestions as to how to accomplish this easily?
