Help with cabin

Looking to go on the Emerald Princess but there are only obscured outside cabins left. Anyone had the disadvantage of having a lifeboat sitting outside their window. Is this a problem? Been offered cabin 414 on emerald deck which on some plans show it has nothing outside but on others that it has a lifeboat. I believe it is the same deck plan as crown princess and caribbean princess. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking at the deck plans in the brochure and I don't see a lifeboat for that room. There could be something else obstructing the view, like a beam or ropes. But for many cabins, obstructed really isn't that obstructed.

 

I've been in obstructed view cabins on the Crown that had just a bit of rope in front of the window.

 

That is a brand new ship so the new ships usually sell out for their first cruises - I'd take a chance with the room.
