Lockers at Pearl/Volcano Viewing

We will be on the Pride of America in a week and a half and were wondering if anyone knows if lockers are available at Pearl Harbor? Also, what side of the ship is best for viewing, during the night cruise past the volcanoes?

No there are not lockers at Pearl Harbor. However, since no one is allowed to bring bags of any kind to the facilities, there is a large bag check available for a few $ per bag. It's not for full-size luggage, just day packs, camera bags, purses, and so forth. Just ask where to go to check your bags, and you'll have no problem.

 

Volcano viewing is fine on both sides because the captain turns the ship and cruises back toward Hilo, so both sides have viewing.

 

For the Na Pali coast, you'll want to be on the port side because the captain does not turn the ship, but continues on and around west Kauai.

It is $3 per bag, largest can be a backpack. they are stored on shelves, you are given a claim check.

 

I watched the volcanoes from both sides, the ship first viewed from Starboard, then turned and port got the views.
