Phone calls from ship

Katy P.

Recommended Posts

Ship to shore calls are typically VERY expensive, in the range of $7 per MINUTE. The internet cafe is much more reasonable, usually 75 cents per minute (or less per minute with minute packages).

Many cell phones with international roaming will work on the ship and are much less expensive than a ship to shore call.

Another option would be to carry the international calling cards and make calls from port at pay phones if it's imperative for you to call home. If not that imperative, and you just want contact, I'd go with an internet minutes package and email a few times. It's a slow connection, but gets the job done if need be.
