Katy P. Posted March 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Has anyone used the Ship to shore phone aboard the ship while you're cruising? Any idea on how much the cost would be? What about the internet service? Thank you. :)
Ella2 Posted March 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Ship to shore calls are typically VERY expensive, in the range of $7 per MINUTE. The internet cafe is much more reasonable, usually 75 cents per minute (or less per minute with minute packages). Many cell phones with international roaming will work on the ship and are much less expensive than a ship to shore call.
BeachBumMama Posted March 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Another option would be to carry the international calling cards and make calls from port at pay phones if it's imperative for you to call home. If not that imperative, and you just want contact, I'd go with an internet minutes package and email a few times. It's a slow connection, but gets the job done if need be.
