paws223 Posted March 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I just booked South America cruise guarentee and was told by my TA that NCL was not offering these until we get closer to the sail date which is 2/3/2008, even she thought this was strange because it offered on all the sites. Has anyone run into this before.
BeachBumMama Posted March 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Cruise agencies have 'blocked' out space and can make a deposit per cabin to hold it, while they sell it. They don't have to necessarily assign names to the cabin until a further date away, so maybe that's how they can offer the guarantee. Just a guess. lynnemac Posted March 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2007 Perhaps it is just that particular ship or even that one trip. Have booked many guarantees and some were assigned much quicker than others. Just a guess but you will be fine. Have a wonderful cruise. Mac:) :) :)
lvtotrvl1 Posted March 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2007 Large online agencies may have group space that will be booked as a guarantee. NCL direct does not offer guarantees on most sailings this far out.
