The New "Ads"

Since there have been some comments on the boards (all of them, really) I thought I'd post an answer from another thread about them... end speculation, debate (I hope):rolleyes: ... and I quote....

Thanks to those of you who "understand" [about the ads]. In fact, the ads are very effective (relatively speaking), and are working well. Also, they are far less intrusive than many "fun" aspects of ALL message board forums, such as countdown clocks, banners, dancing cruiseships, etc etc. Now, before anyone states "I hate those, too"....they also are here to stay. The overwhelming majority love them. And, as you know, you can always turn OFF seeing folks' signatures. Also, following some suggestions by other member's in this thread can assist you as well.
