 Anyone with Verizon cell phone been on Zuiderdam recently? Was told that if you had international roaming on your phone, you could get service on HAL ships. Info appreciated.

My cruise is next month. I have verizon service. We called Verizon, and they said an agreement with HAL didn't exist. I call HAL and HAL said the phone would work on the ship. So, at this point, I don't know what the charges will be, but it has to be less than ship to shore.

I hope someone can answer your question with rates since Verizon couldn't tell us anything.

We were on the Zuiderdam for a cruise in February. In most locations we could not get a signal. We were able to get a signal in St. Thomas and Tortola. We made calls from both locations and the roaming charge was $1.29 a minute. Certainly cheaper than ship to shore but enough to keep our calls as short as possible.
