Nope, cash only ( US $ ). However, there was no deposit required either.

Mario had told us either cash or traveler's checks, but we were told "cash only" when the tour started. (Since I had Mario's e-mail stating that traveler's checks were okay, they let us use the traveler's checks - but if I went again I would bring cash. We had such a great time I would like to go again!
