Wine Store Deliveries to the ship (FLL)?

Has anyone pre-ordered cases of wine (in FLL) and had it delivered directly to your ship (and room??) in FLL?

 

1. If so, anyone experience problems that your pre-order didnt make it onboard?

2. Was it delivered directly into your room?

 

We are considering ordering some wine online from Total Wines and ideally have it delivered to the ship and into our room, instead of having it delivered to our hotel the day before. Would of course to prefer NOT to lug any extra stuff, but not at the expense of either the store NOT delivering or not arriving ontime to the ship.

We were at Total Wines two weeks ago and asked if they delivered to ship. The answer was no. They do have great wine prices tho

Had to laugh as we are trying to figure out the same thing (going on the Prinsendam 22 day transatlantic). We are going to either get a friend to take us around or rent a car and stock up for the trip.

Hello berylde and sfocruiser!

 

Berylde: Total Wines does deliver with orders over $200 and submit order 2 weeks prior to delivery. We are going with another couple for 20 days so we didn't have a hard time getting over the min order amount (hehehe). Its just the fact of delivering to the Sheraton day before we sail OR chance and trust the company and have it delivered to the ship.

 

Sfocruiser: glad you had a laugh...it is quite amazing how many others are asking questions the same as we would. Enjoy your transalantic sail.

PS: the store manager clarified the "delivery" of orders CANNOT be sent directly to ship. They do not have "access" to the cruise ship port.

 

We are now having our order sent to our hotel day before.

For what it's worth, I am ordering wine from a Queen's NY shop, delivered to Noordam for 31 Mar 07 departure at no additional cost (order must be over $99.00). Presently waiting for our cabin assignment.
