Ensenada to SanDiego bus transfer...is it really that bad?????

We didn't have any flights involved, so it was just a big inconvenience for us and our San Diego family. If I were booking a flight I'd make it late afternoon or evening, check the bags in early, and enjoy the San Diego port area that's only about a mile (if that much) from the airport.
