RuthC Posted July 11, 2007 #26 Share Posted July 11, 2007 The price is $249 adult. Is that per adult? $500 for two people??? Relax. That's for up to four people. You may add extra people for an extra charge.
haligonian37 Posted July 11, 2007 #27 Share Posted July 11, 2007 I know, HAL's website can be a tad misleading but the $249 is for up to 4 people. If you have more than 4, there's an additional charge per person but I'm not sure what the amount is.
sirdavid Posted August 6, 2007 Author #28 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Sorry for delay in answering you. We had the bartender with us all day, to serve you in the hot tub or at your chaise! The Chef came to cook lunch and stayed around to serve the steaks etc. We tipped the two of them. There is a massage table in the Cabana, but I have no idea as to cost etc. I suspect you would set that up on the island. Regards. David
cnvh Posted August 6, 2007 #29 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Did you mean $1,195.00 per person???? I also just about had a coronary when I read that!!! $1200 bucks per person for an AFTERNOON?! Holy crap!! But that price split among a dozen people really isn't so bad at all... what a wonderful way to spend the day at HMC!!
winemistress45 Posted September 9, 2007 #30 Share Posted September 9, 2007 From what I understand tho -- there are two upgraded packages you can purchase with the big cabana. One is $450 and one is $4800 -- Has anyone had either of these? I don't see the steak that was mentioned in the standard package.
McDebbie Posted September 17, 2007 #31 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Where on the island is this cabana located? It looks quite far from the ship looking at that one picture.
May4 Posted September 17, 2007 #32 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Where on the island is this cabana located? It looks quite far from the ship looking at that one picture. Let me try to describe the location for you. When you are coming in on the tenders, you'll pass it just before arriving at the dock. Go into the small village there , the one that has the small store, largest bar, first aid station and such. Anyway, you take a left, then another left onto the beach and you're practically there. It's a rather big thatched hut with a childrens' play area adjacent.
bepsf Posted September 17, 2007 #33 Share Posted September 17, 2007 I tried to book it for my upcoming Volendam cruise, and had my TA checking with HAL every day... ...turns out the day shore excursion bookings came available, it had already been sold!

On the map they are showing a Half Moon Saloon but I understand they turned a projected bar into this cabana - I guess that is the one? Looks like a great location, not sure why the ship looked so far away. ...turns out the day shore excursion bookings came available, it had already been sold! So sorry, isn't that annoying? Sage Posted September 18, 2007 #36 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Bepsf, Perhaps the Ducks would be kind enough to let you have a look around. We are getting ever so close now to cruising.

sirdavid Posted September 18, 2007 Author #40 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Greetings to all, There were ony six of us so I tipped the Bartender $50.00 and the Chef $40.00. Both seemed very happy. I note a comment concerning the slide. Reading between the lines....they had a group of firefighters...that required a beer run back to the ship! Perhaps the slide was removed for safety and legal reasons!
spcl4cs_gal Posted October 1, 2008 #41 Share Posted October 1, 2008 Hi David, You wouldn't happen to remember whether or not you met with someone from the ship the night before HMC to discuss your Oasis menu? My brother and I will have it for our stop in March. Thanks. :)
