Since we booked a trip for SA for 2/27/08 on Journey, we called X for a brochure on the cruise. They sent us a SA brochure w no mention of the new ships. Is a brochure w/ Journey published and available yet?

There is a brochure -- "07/08 Celebrity Expeditions" -- Covers all three ships in this special fleet -- Journey, Quest and Xpedition -- and the ports currently scheduled. South America, Bermuda, caribbean & Panama Canal - Galapgos.

It is limited in detail on the Journey and Quest as they have not recieved them inorder to remodel them -- no pictures of staterooms & so on. They do have the cruise ports in them and the same things you find on their web site -- stateroom floor plans & etc.

While I have had mine for a month -- they may have printed a limited number and are out of print until they can give more detail of the remodeled ships and what ports they will go to for sure.

In other words they are still in the planning stage with these ships.

thx for the additional info. While I did enjoy the M class ships and related, I also have been on two R ships, Tahitian Princess and Oceania Regatta and loved them. O really made them more upscale (they already were classy) by adding alot of teak incl teak furniture loungers w/matresses and chairs on veranda (vs plastic).and other amenities that X appears will match. I also found it easy to transition to country club casual w/open setting. These small ships are not for everybody, ie not for children or people who like big production shows, and extreme action (eg Carnival). Shows are smaller, alot of piano bar type of side venues, smaller casino w/o a craps table but very good personal service , little or no waiting, chairs available at the pool or probability of seeing fellow pax more than once on the cruise. We hope it's successful w/X.
