cruisernh Posted March 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2007 I have heard many different things. I trust this board so .... Is it true with no seat assignments it is a free for all when they start boarding? or do you get seats at checkin when checking luggage?
signman Posted March 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2007 If you go to the airtran website http://www.airtran.com you will see prices displayed that state "seat selection at check-in". Air Tran does have assigned seats. If you are purchasing a regularly priced coach ticket or a business class ticket, you will be able to select your seats at time of purchase. For discount fares you will only be able to select a seat when you check-in for your flight, either at the airport, or on-line, beginning 24 hours before your flight. nybumpkin Posted March 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2007 We had regular-priced tickets one-way, discount the other way. The regular-priced seate were assigned in advance, the discount at checkin. There were five of us and they assigned us to one full row in both instances. We've had worse - on a 2005 United flight, they scattered the five of us around the plane.
