Luxury Hotel Near Dover, Canterbury or Kent?

Recommended Posts

I don't have any personal experience of any places there, but one idea is to go to the AA's website and do a search for the location "Kent". It's throwing up some places like Eastwell Manor, that might be close to what you're looking for.

But I doubt that you'll find any true 5* places that close to Dover. The only place that comes to mind in the general area that might qualify is Gravetye Manor, but that's near Gatwick Airport and rather more than half an hour away from Dover.

I second the prvious poster. Eastwell manor is lovely. Havnt been there for a few years but it quite convenient for Canterbur/Dover. Not sure if its still going as a hotel but Chilston PArk is another luxury place. Stayed there a few years ago, & the house is stuffed full of antiques, they lit candles everywhere instead of electricty at night time, & service was wonderful.

Otherwise- try AA guide or 'leading hotels of the world' or 'Realais & Chateau'

Gravetye is very nice too but probably more like 1hr - 1 1/2 hrs fm Dover.
