Here's another great one: "Smooth Reggae," by Steel Drums of the Caribbean. Also "Island Aphrodisiac," by Rippingtons (strictly instrumental, on their "Life in the Tropics" album, "Rum Cay," and "Voodoo Dance," from Miami Vice sound tracks. I always have "Montego Bay" and these on my cruising slideshows! Really takes me back when I look at them.

For some reason, there were two songs we heard endlessly on our Mariner cruise several weeks ago: "Booty Man," by Tim Wilson, and "Big Bamboo Love Song," (not for the young or infirm ). Every snorkeling boat had these songs going full blast - in Jamiaca, GC, and Cozumel. Of course, everyone was cracking up listening to them after all the rum punch, margaritas, etc.

........Wish you were Beautiful.:p

If that song does not describe how we feel when we leave our troubles behind and head south nothing does.

One Particular Harbor.

Growing older but not up

We are the people our parents warned us about

Anything with steel drums in it.

I just had to go look for those. What a hoot.

Came across a couple of others in my searching. Ocho Rios by Los Pericos and then Cayman Islands by Kings of Convenience.

Beach Fever -- General Johnson

Blues Beach -- Steely Dan

Beach Cruising -- Syd Marsh

That's a good one too. There's a video on youtube of an Italian night in the dining room while the waitstaff sings this. Good times. :)

Which ship was that from? My guess is Radiance. I put it in my You Tube favorite places under the Cruise ship category.

Sorry Sherri, I don't know which ship or class of ship. I just stumbled on it in my never ending search of all things cruise. I've saved it too.

anything by Bob Marley (and we own his entire collection)... but we're partial to:

Three Little Birds

Jammin' (duh!)

Exodus (this is great during sailaway... "movement of the people")

Pressure Drop by Toots and the Maytals

Caribbean Blue by Enya

anything with steel drums always puts me in a cruising mindset!
