TV Channels on the Zuiderdam

Does anyone know what TV channels are on the Zuiderdam? Just wondering. Leaving in a week.

Not much of a variety. CNN is from Europe. Larry King did show up occasionally in the evening. Couple movie channnel,decent,recent movies. A kids channel and then the usual rerunss,including I Love Lucy and the 3 stooges. Nothing from the networks

I believe they had TCM (Turner Classic Movie channel) that occasionally had some good movies on. We particularly enjoyed Boomerang, which ran classic cartoons non-stop (Flintstones, Jetsons etc.).

TNT, Europe CNN, Music channels, Discovery-type channel, and two GREAT movie channels showing The Queen, DreamGirls, Deja Vu, oscar nominated type movies. Basically, if the weather is bad and you have nothing else to do, you'll find something to entertain you. Be sure to ask for a card that list the channels.

We'll be on the Zuiderdam April 22nd for 20 days...YAHOO, a sports channel...I wouldn't be a pure Canadian without needing to know what's happening in the NHL playoffs...GO CANUCKS:D

 

Is there a "sports bar" on the Zuiderdam? Don't recall reading about one.

Here's the movies that were playing on the Zuiderdam when we were cruising last month....

 

Here's what was showing on the Zuiderdam (in the Queens Lounge). We never made it to a movie, but I saw several people carrying around boxes of popcorn. I figured they'd been to watch one of the movies.

 

Invincible-8:30pm & 10:30pm (Sat)

Superman Returns-11:00pm (Sun)

The Departed-7pm &10:00pm (Mon)

The Illusionist-1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 11:00pm (Tues)

The Guardian-1pm, 6pm, 9:00pm (Wed)

Flyboys-6:30pm, 11:00pm (Thurs)

Boynton Beach Club-2pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10:00pm (Fri)

 

During the day these movies were on the two movie channels (in your cabin). Each movie repeated 5 or 6 times each day.

There was also a channel that repeated old and newer TV shows (Green Acres, Alias, Friends, I Dream of Jeannie, The Drew Carey Show, West Wing, Spin City, Gilligan's Island (I stayed away from that one-we had a couple of three-hour tours planned-lol), Whose Line is it Anyway, The Jefferson's, Scrubs, Welcome Back Cotter & Murder, She Wrote.

Is there a "sports bar" on the Zuiderdam? Don't recall reading about one.

 

There is - it's on Deck 2 on the starboard side, between the Casino and the Piano Bar. Never spent any time in there, but it looks nice.

The only thing that made that bar resemble a sports bar (at least what I saw) was numerous televisions.
