Ballroom dancing on Mariner - age?

Recommended Posts

I hear there's ballroom dancing at Ellingtons on Mariner and I'd love to participate, but I'm only 22. I'm assuming that most of the crowd there will be a good bit older than me on our June sailing... Has anybody been that can tell me what the age breakdown was like and if I have any chance of finding someone around my own age to dance with? Obviously it depends on the sailing, but I'm just looking for some idea of what to expect!

Age at Ellingtons when I was on Mariner was probably 30 and up, but you'd still fit in fine.

Floors, Ellingtons, if memory serves me correctly was a crescent moon shape, good for stationary dances, but not very good for traveling dances.

The best dance floor, IMHO, was the Lotus Lounge, but they didn't have a band there every night. Nice, big rectangular floor for waltz or foxtrot.

Bolero's had a small floor, but great Latin band when I was onboard, cha-cha, salso, and some rumba.

Dragon's Lair had a nice floor, but mostly club mix music.

Hope this helps some.
