On Valor, can you, or how do you get to......

On Valor, I see where the bridge of the ship extends wider than the rest of the ship on the sides. Is there a way to get on the level above the bridge and be standing on what extends over the sides of the ship? I hope you get what I mean. Anyone ever done this? If so, what deck, and how do we get there? It would make for saw great pics of the sides of the ship. Thanks in advance:)

We did it on the Miracle, I know what you mean.

 

It looks like the bridge is on the Verandah deck....and that the front of the Lido deck has a doorway on the left side of the ship. It's possible that "might" lead out to the upper observation area.

Yes you can get up there.. I have seen many people up there at sailaway.. not sure how you get there tho.. that is just a tad to high for me:o Ask one of the crew or go exploring you will find it :)

And I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get to it on Liberty when we were there in Feb.:( I kept seeing this guy out there every day at sunset, and couldn't get his attention for anything to see how he got there.

We went out there to the side at night once on the Elation. Iwas very dark and windy but soo neat. My hubby and his brother went to smoke a stogie there so my mother in law didnt see them. Mind you they are 32 and 29:rolleyes:

Go to deck 9 (Lido deck) on the port (left) side of the ship

 

Go all the way to the end of the hallway... you'll see a door with a porthole type window.

 

Step through this door and you'll be on the deck with the wings.

 

We got a great view of the pilot swinging on board from here. Wonderful spot to take pics, watch as you enter/leave ports, etc. Hang on to your hat, tho... it's WINDY!!

 

You can also go up to deck 10 from there via stairs, but there are no wings.

yup, you can do this on decks 6, 7, 9, and 10. No one ever is out there, and it is really cool on a clear night... you can really see all the stars because there are no lights on in the front of the ship to interfere with navigation.
