2008 Itineraries are out - Alaska

The 2008 itineraries are out for Alaska & I'm thinking of booking when we are on the Sun next week... I'm curious to know the differences between the Sawyer Glacier & Glacier Bay itineraries as well as what you like or don't like about the Star & the Pearl.

The Star will see Sawyer Glacier and Prince Rupert whereas the Pearl will see Glacier Bay and Victoria. The other ports are similar: Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway.

 

While Glacier Bay is beautiful, the Teal Inlet and Sawyer Glacier is almost as nice, if the ship can reach Sawyer Glacier through the icebergs, the calving of Sawyer is a wonderful experience.

 

The Star will embark on Saturday, the Pearl on Sunday.
