PammyHound Posted August 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2004 Need your help! We are sailing on the 9/19 MOS and have an excursion planned in Nassau. I have been told Nassau will be on Daylight savings time, Eastern time zone. Will the ship and island time be the same? Same question for St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Wil those ports be the same time zone as the ships time?
eguiney Posted August 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2004 I believe standard practice is that the ship stays on whatever time zone it was on at its port of departure.

PammyHound Posted August 6, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted August 6, 2004 Cool, thanks Jim! So we leave on Eastern time and stay on Eastern time the entire time? I just want to make sure I am very very clear on this ;)
Robinob Posted August 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2004 Just returned from Voyager and the captain made a point of telling us to remain on ships time.
